4 Days Desert Tour From Ouarzazate To Merzouga Desert
Our desert tour departs from Ouarzazate and heads towards Erg Chebbi Dunes near Merzouga for an overnight stay, with stops at Dades Valley and Toudra Gorges, as well as other spots, villages, and oases along the way. The tour ends with a return to Ouarzazate, where you can explore the Kasbahs and neighboring villages.
After breakfast, we will begin our desert tour from Ouarzazate. Our first stop will be the Skoura oasis, followed by a visit to the beautiful Amridel Kasbah and the rose valley of Kalaat Mgouna. Next, we will head to the Dades Valley, famous for its thousand kasbahs. Here, we will take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Dades Gorges, home to many nomadic families. Finally, we will spend the night in a traditional riad.
After having breakfast, we will depart from the Dades Valley. Our itinerary includes a visit to a secret Berber village named Mharch Tafraoute. However, before heading there, we will explore places like Alnif and some lesser-known villages such as Tazoulate and Fzou, where we will picnic. Finally, we will reach Mharch Tafraoute and stay at a charming guest house for the night.
On this day of our Desert Tour from Ouarzazate, we will be heading to the hotel in the Merzouga village. Our journey will begin with a visit to the palm plantations of Tafilalet, which we will explore in our 4×4 car. Next, we will visit Rissani, the holy land of the Moroccan royal family. It is also an ancient market that served as the center of many caravans from the Sub-Sahara region. After that, we will proceed towards the dunes of the Erg Chebbi and ride the camels to our desert camp, where we will spend a fantastic night.
We will watch the stunning early sunrise and then return to our hotel in the village of Merzouga. After that, you can go to Alnif village for a traditional lunch. Later, we will explore several villages and kasbahs, including Tazarine, N’kob, and Tansikht. Finally, head towards Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley, passing by some villages like Agdez. Ouarzazate will mark the end of the desert tour.
