Itinerary overview :
On this tour from Fes to Marrakech luxury desert tour 3 days, leave Fez and head towards the desert after visiting several places like the cedar forest of Azrou and Midelt. In the desert of Merzouga, we will spend the night exploring the oases and the Kasbahs. We will visit Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou after that. Then we will end our tour at Marrakech.
DAY 1: FEZ – IFRANE – CEDAR FOREST – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA DESERT
We start our Fes to Marrakech Luxury Desert Tour 3 Days, heading south from Fez. We’ll briefly visit Ifran and the cedar forest at Azrou. We’ll then have lunch in Midelt and drive along the Tizi n’Taghamt motorway, admiring the valley of the Ziz. We pass Erfoud and finally arrive in Merzouga. We’ll relax with tea before riding on camels to the dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset. We’ll spend the night in a desert camp, enjoying drum music, dinner, and stargazing around the campfire.
DAT 2: MERZOUGA – ERFOUD – TODGRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY
On the Fes to Marrakech luxury desert tour for 3 days, we woke up early in the morning to catch the sunrise before leaving the camp. After enjoying a refreshing shower and a delicious breakfast in Merzouga, we head towards the Tinghir oasis near the Toudra Gorges. Here, we will explore the magnificent gorges and walk along the river and the narrow rock walls. We will stop at a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, we will travel to the Dades Valley, which is another stunning natural landscape. We will spend the night in a beautiful Kasbah in Dades and have a traditional dinner.
DAY 3: DADES GORGES – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we’ll continue our tour towards Ouarzazate along the road of the thousand Kasbahs (fortresses), stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, the center of the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual Rose Festival. We’ll continue to the Unesco World Heritage site, the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, which is famous for being a filming location for Hollywood movies such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator and for the HBO series Game of Thrones.
We’ll then drive over the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to Marrakech, where our Fes to Marrakech Luxury Desert Tour 3 Days ends.
