After departing from Marrakech, the travelers on this 3-day Marrakech to Erg Chegaga desert tour will visit Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, as well as the Kasbahs located between these two spots and the Erg Chegaga desert. You will spend one night in the desert before returning to Marrakech.
We’ll start our tour from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga after breakfast. On the way, we’ll pass through the stunning landscapes of Tizi n’Tichka and several Berber villages. We’ll explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou before heading towards Ouarzazate. After that, we’ll visit the Daraa Valley and Agdz to capture some unforgettable moments. Then, we’ll visit the city of Zagora, known for its palm trees, and continue to the Draa Valley via the road of a thousand Kasbahs. We’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Zagora.
We will start our morning MARRAKECH TO ERG CHEGAGA tour traveling by traveling in a 4×4 car towards the Erg Chegaga dunes. After taking a short break to admire the panoramic view of the Draa palm trees, we will visit the Koranic library and an underground kasbah at Tamegroute. Following this, we will continue to M’Hamid, the last town before the desert of Erg Chegaga Sahara. After lunch, we will drive off-road to the oasis of Mlaalg and then to the desert camp of the dunes of the Erg Chegaga. Upon arrival, we will ride camels to the top of the dunes to witness the sunset view and spend the night under the starry sky in either a nomad or private tent.
We are planning to begin our day early and witness the stunning sunrise over the sand dunes. After having breakfast, we will embark on our camel ride to leave the camp. Later, we will drive back to Marrakech in a car. During our journey, we will halt at Taznakht to have lunch, and also capture some beautiful pictures at the High Atlas Mountains. Finally, we will conclude our Marrakech to Erg Chegaga tour by returning to Marrakech.
