On the first day of your tour, you will be met at the airport. We then take you on a sightseeing tour of Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. During the tour, we will visit the exterior of the Great Mosque of Hassan II, one of the most important monuments in the Islamic world. We then head to Rabat to visit the magnificent Mohammed V mausoleum, the Hassan Tower, and the Bahia palace. Finally, we will travel to Fez and spend the night in a riad.
After breakfast, we will visit the world’s oldest city, Fes Medina, with a local official tour guide. We’ll explore the Medina with its souks (markets) and stop at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th-century Karouine Mosque, and the University. We’ll also visit the tomb of the city founder, Moulay Idriss II. We’ll dine at one of the traditional restaurants in the old Medina for lunch. After lunch, we’ll continue our 6 desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech towards Ifrane city. We’ll be staying overnight in Midelt.
After having breakfast, our 6 days desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech will take us through the mountains of the Middle Atlas, passing Midelt and the Zad pass (2,178m). We will continue driving to Erfoud via Errachidia and the Ziz Valley in the afternoon. Our next stop will be at the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, where we will have lunch at a Berber pizza restaurant. After lunch, we will visit the Sahara Nomads before riding a camel to the camp. We will be having dinner and staying overnight at the Desert Camp.
We will depart via Rissani, the birthplace of the Alawi dynasty, the souk, and numerous kasbahs. After that, we will continue to the Todra Gorges for lunch and proceed through the beautiful Dades Valley. In the evening, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, where we will enjoy a delicious dinner and take some rest. We will spend the night in the Riad.
Before heading towards Marrakech, we will visit Taourirt Kasbah, the Cinema Atlas Studio, and the old Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Many famous Hollywood movies, such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia, were filmed here. After this, we will continue our journey by driving through the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains, where you will be able to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. Finally, we will arrive in Marrakech and spend the night in a Riad.
After breakfast, depending on your departure time, you will have the option to either transfer to the airport or take a sightseeing tour of Marrakech. This is the end of your 6 days desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech.
