On the first day of our Agadir to Merzouga 4 days desert tour, we set off in the morning and passed through Taroudant, known as the little Marrakesh. We then continue to Taliouine, the only saffron-producing area in Morocco, and Taznakht. From there, we drive to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also where Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Asterix Obelix, and Game of Thrones were filmed. We visit the site after lunch in a Berber restaurant. In the afternoon, we will explore the Atlas film studios. We spend the night in Ouarzazate.
We will depart from Ouarzazate and drive to Merzouga, passing through the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs and visiting Skoura Oasis. We’ll also explore Kalaat M’gouna, Boumalne Dades Valley, Tinghir, and Todra Gorges before heading to Tinjdad to check out the fossils. From there, we’ll continue to Merzouga. Once we arrive, we’ll ride camels to the dunes of Erg Chebbi and climb a high dune to enjoy the stunning view just before sunset. We’ll spend the first night of our Agadir to Merzouga 4 days desert tour in a nomadic tent surrounded by a band of musicians.
The camp staff will inform you about the time to wake up so that you can witness the sunrise from the dunes. After that, you can return to the camp, take a shower, and have breakfast. We will then drive from Merzouga to the Draa Valley, passing through Rissani, Alnif, and Tazzarine. Later in the day, we will head towards Tanasikht, and from there, we will continue our drive along the Draa Valley. This valley is known for its vast palm trees and ancient villages. Finally, we will spend the night in Agdez.
On the last day of our Agadir to Merzouga 4 days desert tour, we will drive from Agdez to Marrakech via the Anti-Atlas and the mountain pass of Tizi-n-Tinfifte (1660m). Once we reach Ouarzazate, we will visit the kasbah of Tifoultoute, originally the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech and a symbol of the feudal period of the lords of Atlas. After that, we will take an unpaved track to reach Fint Oasis, nestled among the mountains, which once served as the crossroads of caravans and provides a hidden delight. Later, we will drive to Marrakech along the High-Atlas mountains and reach our destination by the end of the afternoon. This marks the end of our desert tour from Agadir to Marrakech.
